Just across the road from Industry Bar, where I went Sunday night, is another fun bar, Therapy. Once again, considering its closeness to my apartment I’d be rude to refuse an invite to the club to watch the season 3 premier of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Oliver and his friends saved a front row seat for the viewing. I wasn’t previously aware that the hosts for the evening would be Mimi Imfirst and Manila Luzon, two drag contestants from the new season, making the viewing a little more fun.

It was great fun watching the reality show comedy with a room full of other fans. I kind of felt like I was in a stereotypical American movie theatre with people overreacting to what they see on screen.
The viewing was followed by a live performance by Mimi Imfirst and Eve Star, another drag entertainer at the club. It was all light hearted fun, but after sitting for so long I got a little uncomfortable and was just about ready to leave.
I don’t know how, but I knew that sitting in the front row would lead to trouble, and it did. Eve Star said I’d been distracting her whilst she’d been performing and then forced me on stage. I was then almost auctioned off to patrons – embarrassing, but all part of the fun. I received a free pair of portable speakers as a prize for participating to the show! Thank you.
Therapy will continue to have viewings of RuPaul’s Drag Race each Monday – it’s definitely a fun vibe if you’re into feathers and sequins.
