A combination of the extreme cold and unexpected nights out resulted in my desire to stay indoors and enjoy the cosy side of NYC living: relaxing a little on my holiday.
Spending my Monday afternoon lounging around with friends in the warmth of a beautiful pre-war apartment was an excellent choice for curing a hangover.
What’s more NYC than ordering food to be delivered to your apartment? We ordered some delicious Mexican food that stuffed us silly.
The food came in giant tin-foil cases with sides of corn chips, guacamole and salsa. I’m not really sure what I had (got my friend to surprise me), but it was delicious. My meal comprised of some kind of cheesy chicken filled burrito, with beans and rice. I couldn’t possibly eat it all – way too much bang for your buck!
My friend educated me on the greatest iPhone application, Seamless Web. Basically it works from your current location and you can browse through whatever variety of food you like, check the prices and place orders. This could be dangerous for my lazy days … but I think a NYC Winter must.
